There is no clean-cut definition of a University of Hartford student.
Our campus is made up of eclectic individuals whose interests and passions vary just as much as New England's weather does. We at The Rival UHart felt that there was no adequate news source for our unique student body and our media outlets didn’t inspire students or entice them.
A change needed to happen, so we initiated it. As a result, a group of us came together to find exactly what our student body needed: a creative, amusing, distinct publication filled with the voices of our own peers and only our own peers.
Our group of writers, editors and strategists will challenge your views on the constructs our society seems to be built on. We encourage you to get involved with what you’re reading, send us feedback, tell us your ideas and stories, and most of all: we strive for you all to enjoy our content.
We want change. We want to hear your voices. This publication was established for YOU. We want to know what you think should be changed. We want to see a UHart that’s connected and conversational.
We hope you do, too.
